Content Policy

This content policy applies to all content submitted to and published on glossaries hosted by Glossarym. It is designed to ensure a safe, accurate and useful environment for all users, in compliance with the UK Online Safety Act 2023.

Purpose

Glossarym hosts glossaries of terms, acronyms, abbreviations, jargon and phrases for specific domains and fields. All content should be legitimate, accurate and relevant to the glossary's stated domain.

Moderation

All submissions are reviewed by designated reviewers before publication. Glossarym and instance administrators reserve the right to review, edit, reject or remove any content at any time without prior notice. Moderation decisions are logged and an audit trail is maintained for all content changes.

Reporting Content

If you encounter content that you believe violates this policy or is otherwise illegal or harmful, you can report it using the "Report this entry" button on any entry page. Reports do not require an account. You may also report content by emailing .

All reports are reviewed promptly. Content that is found to be illegal will be removed as soon as practicable. We will cooperate with law enforcement authorities where required by law.

Complaints and Appeals

If your content has been removed or your submission rejected and you believe this was done in error, you may appeal the decision by emailing within 14 days of the moderation action. Your appeal should include:

Appeals will be reviewed by a different moderator where possible. You will receive a response within 7 working days. The decision on appeal is final.

Account Suspension

Users who repeatedly violate this policy may have their accounts suspended or permanently blocked from contributing to the glossary. Administrators may block users at their discretion.

This content policy is publicly accessible. Changes to this policy will be published here. Instance administrators can view report statistics and moderation history through the moderation dashboard.
