By accessing or using this glossary, you agree to be bound by these conditions. If you do not agree, you should not use this service.
1. Service Description
Glossarym is a platform for community-contributed glossaries of terms, acronyms, abbreviations, jargon and phrases. Each glossary instance is managed by designated administrators and covers a specific domain or field.
2. Acceptable Use
You agree to use this service only for its intended purpose: viewing, searching and contributing legitimate, accurate glossary content. You must not attempt to access restricted areas, disrupt the service, or use automated tools to scrape content beyond reasonable use of the provided API.
3. Prohibited Content
You must not submit content that is illegal, defamatory, hateful, harassing, obscene, deliberately misleading, spam, or that infringes intellectual property rights. See our Content Policy for full details.
4. User Contributions
By submitting content to this glossary, you grant Glossarym and the instance administrators a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use, display, modify, adapt and distribute your contribution as part of the glossary. You retain copyright in your original contributions. You represent that you have the right to submit the content and that it does not infringe any third-party rights.
5. Moderation
All submitted content is subject to review and moderation. Glossarym and instance administrators reserve the right to review, edit, reject or remove any content without prior notice. Moderation decisions may be appealed as described in our Content Policy.
6. Account Termination
Glossarym and instance administrators reserve the right to suspend or permanently block any user account for violation of these conditions, the content policy, or for any other reason at their discretion.
7. Instance Administrator Responsibility
Each glossary instance is managed by designated administrators who are responsible for moderating content within their instance. Glossarym reserves the right to override moderation decisions and take action on any instance if required for legal compliance or platform integrity.
8. Privacy and Data
Email addresses provided for authentication are used solely for the purpose of account verification and service communications. We process personal data in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018. We do not sell or share personal data with third parties except where required by law.
9. No Warranty
Content on this glossary is community-contributed and provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. Glossarym does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness or reliability of any content. You should verify any information before relying upon it.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Glossarym and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the service, or from any content published on the platform.
11. Reporting and Complaints
To report illegal or harmful content, use the "Report this entry" button on any entry page or email . To appeal a moderation decision, email the same address within 14 days. See our Content Policy for full details.
12. Third-Party Links
Glossary entries may contain links to external sources. Glossarym is not responsible for the content, accuracy or availability of any linked third-party websites.
13. Billing
Private glossary instances are available on a paid subscription basis. Subscription fees, cancellation terms and refund policies are as specified at the time of purchase. Subscriptions may be cancelled at any time; access continues until the end of the current billing period.
14. Governing Law
These conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these conditions shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
15. Changes to These Conditions
We reserve the right to update these conditions at any time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised conditions. Material changes will be communicated via the platform.
